Meet Dr. Chris Gill, General Dentist In Nanaimo

A general dentist, Dr. Chris Gill also provides oral surgery and sedation dentistry. He shares his time between Diver Lake Dental Clinic and our office in Qualicum Beach. He first developed an interest in the field after shadowing dentists in his undergraduate years and he enjoys the challenges it brings.

Originally from Vancouver Island, Dr. Chris graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology (Honours) from the University of Victoria. He completed dental school at the University of British Columbia dental program and has completed several continuing education courses about Invisalign^®, oral surgery, and treatment under IV sedation.

When treating patients, he considers the whole picture. Dr. Chris really enjoys challenging cases and helping all of his patients look – and feel – their best.

Dr. Chris is a bit of a sports junkie (watching and playing). He and his wife Marina have two young girls and a Westie named Coconut.

Dr. Vic Kooner loves to help his patients transform their smiles with dental implant placement. His goal is to give you the very best options and information about restoring your smile. After a thorough consultation, he will do everything he can to you receive the restoration treatment that’s right for you.

Born and raised in Trail, BC, Dr. Vic earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia. After attending dental school at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and finishing his studies in Southfield, MI and Windsor, he gained experience at a non-profit clinic. There he worked with patients with serious ailments, such as HIV/AIDS and Type 2 diabetes. Dr. Vic completed the surgical implantology program and earned his Fellowship at the Misch International Implant Institute.

Dr. Vic believes in educating his patients about their dental treatment options and answering all of their questions. He uses the latest technology and surgical techniques for all restorative procedures.

When he’s not at the office improving smiles, Dr. Vic enjoys travelling, meeting new people, and experiencing new cultures.

Dr. Zach Lim was raised in Vancouver, where he attended the University of British Columbia, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry. He later received his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry, also at the University of British Columbia. Since graduating, Zach has continued to pursue hands-on and didactic training with renowned clinicians in Canada and the US, focusing on composite fillings, root canals, and advanced treatment planning.

Dr. Zach has a varied dental practice focusing on restorative, root canals, and oral surgery procedures. He enjoys the variety of general dentistry and getting to know his patients.

Outside of the office, Dr. Zach can likely be found exploring new trails or enjoying a book at a local coffee shop. He enjoys running, mountain biking, and skiing with his partner, Julia, and their dog, Finn.
